Saudi govt. honors ABB

2008-10-22 - The Saudi government has honored ABB with a special award for its support to energy conservation and the Kingdom’s campaign to rationalize power consumption.

At a function organized by the Saudi Ministry of Electricity and Water at Al-Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh on October 18, to mark the Kingdom’s electricity rationalization campaign, Minister of Electricity and Water Abdullah Al-Hussayen presented the awards to the companies for their support and contribution to help conserve electricity. ABB was one of the companies awarded at the function.

In a speech read on his behalf by the minister, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz emphasized the need to rationalize power consumption. The King called on the nationals as well as the expatriates to help make the five-year rationalizing of power consumption campaign a success.
